More Affordable and Efficient Than Ever

Today radiant heated floors are more affordable than ever, not to mention it can save on energy bills! Take control and turn your heated floors on where you need them most.

There is a small cost to operating the heated floors. However, underfloor heating is one of the best way lower your energy bill as heat is more evenly distributed in very specific areas.

Heated Floors Facts:

• Some systems have thermostats to control zones and temperature. You can also create schedules and timers. Some also come with a mobile app for added convenience.

• These systems are usually highly energy efficient taking a good load off your furnace

• Available in Electric Wiring and Hydronic Water System

• Both systems are silent as there is no air blowing through ducts systems.

Heated Floors and Floor Levelling

With proper planning, we install your heated floor system in the desired area, test it, and begin applying the appropriate drypack mix to create perfectly levelled floors ready for your new floor covering, tile, hardwood or laminate.

Keep in mind, depending on the type of heated floors used, there could be a slight variation in floor height, we will take all of that in consideration during our consultation.

Lasers, Long Edges and Levels.

When dealing with large surfaces anything larger than a tiny bathroom, it becomes a little trick to make sure the floor is levelled from one end of the room to the other. To achieve perfectly levelled floors, we rely on more than one tool. We typically use a 360 degree spinning laser to mark the desired heights all around the room, then begin the spread of dry pack throughout and push and pull with 12 foot plus aluminum straight edges that are perfect for spreading the dry pack evenly. In tighter, smaller areas we use levels.

Floor Levelling.

When a house settles, floor joists can move and cause unlevelled floors, sometimes subfloors (plywood) sag and begin to squeak, the best way to fix that is by levelling the floors with dry pack applied evenly throughout.

We have encountered a difference of up to 8 inches in some areas. This is a small investment that will last forever and provides exceptional results.
